Let's play badminton!

PRACTICAL SESSION
Session 8: “Let's play badminton”
Materials: Shuttlecocks, badminton rackets, net, Tablet.
Grade: Fifth.
Timing: 45 mins.
Session aim: To put all previous knowledge into practice, through badminton matches.
Vocabulary
All the students will put into practice most of the vocabulary analyzed in the previous sessions.
INITIAL PART (Session 8)
Activity 2: Let's review!
Timing: 5 mins.
Teaching Style: Direct Command.
Key Competences: Linguistic Communication; Learn to learn; Social and Civic.
Aim: To practice all the elements seen on the badminton, such as the serve and the movements that can be carried out.
Description:
In pairs, the two components will be located on both sides of the pitch separated by the net. They will be able to practice all the movements previously learned without scoring.
Rules:
All movements and movements must be accomplished correctly.
Pictorial:
Variants: The same game will take place, although this time it will be 2 versus 2.
Intensity: Medium.
Space: Gym.
Materials: Shuttlecocks, rackets.
MAIN PART (Session 8)
Activity 3: 1 VS 1 Match
Timing: 12 mins.
Teaching Style: Direct Command.
Key Competences: Learn to Learn; Social and Civic.
Aim: To put into practice everything seen in the Badminton Teaching Unit, expressing it with correct English terminology.
Description:
In pairs, each component will be located in a part of the field beyond the net. A badminton match will be held, in which everything learned in the previous sessions will have to be put into practice.
Rules:
1. All techniques must be done correctly.

2. A point will be awarded to each player who manages to drop the shuttlecock on the opposite field.

Activity 4: 2 VS 2 Match
Timing: 12 mins.
Teaching Style: Direct Command.
Key Competences: Learn to Learn; Social and Civic.
Aim: To put into practice everything seen in the Badminton Teaching Unit, expressing it with correct English terminology.
Description:
In groups of four, they will play a doubles match (two against two). To do this, all the techniques learned will be carried out in the best possible way. The limits of the field will be their own for this type of match.
Rules:
1. All techniques must be done correctly.

2. A point will be awarded to the team that manages to drop the shuttlecock in the opposite field.
